PROCESS STANDARDIZATION IN HEALTH CARE

Standardization of process in health care

Whenever a sequence of process is  standardized, you’re well on your way to radically improving patient satisfaction .
More defined a process is more efficient is the organisation .
Process is one big thing that  impact all other factors in a system . Standardised  process is the most effective manner of ensuring tasks are performed consistently and without variation  but till now no thought have been made  to make it mandatory for both  Private and Government health care providers to make their process standardised .
NABH is one such body which has a fixed standards along with well defined  process in healthcare but that too is voluntary to opt .
Though efforts have been taken by World bank  due to which projects have been started by government in various states and doing fairly good despite the fact that these project are being seriously taken by only few people at ground level and the project personals only .
In private sector also the number of NABH applicants  are low as compared to registered health care providers
Even the MCI  had not taken any step in terms of improving the quality of care to the patient ,they have not laid down any norms in terms of defined quality of care to be given .
Although  a teaching hospital requires 75% of occupancy but not what kind of quality of care should be given to them is defined in the norms of MCI
What my personal opinion is If MCI  make it mandatory for medical college to take quality module as one of a subject and obtainment of NABH entry level in first ten years and then progressive in subsequent years made mandatory then patients will be benefitted in longer run .
Same if maximum charges to provide care has been fixed for NABH and non NABH providers then also it can make a difference .
What I personally believe is if district hospitals in few states can achieve entry level ,even in few states they got accredited too then why can't it be made mandatory to the care givers who charge hefty amount to the patients especially in tier2 and tier 3 city
Which can ultimately leads to improving quality of care as well as patient safety

Concept Of Making safe House for VIP visits

Visit of a VIP in a city is always a headache not only for administrators but also for health care givers
As on one side it's hard to manage the regular patients crowd due to shortage of doctors patient ratio at the same time it's more hard to manage a VIP visit
Recently some VIP visited my city which on one side made the city to stand as well as had put the healthcare delivery to crutches
Group of doctors in the fleet
Few at safe house
Few posted to nearby medical college prepared as safe house
Lots of police personnel even senior officers are posted along with doctors
But my question is
How many times need to use these safe house occurs
I guess hardly but expenses occurred are too much if you summarize it
Are these safe houses really capable of handling crisis or emergency
I am sure no drill has been made till date to analyze it
Why can't a VIP carry a fully equipped ambulance along with them which we call a mini hospital these days. I am sure this ambulance will be more efficient in terms of crisis rather than doctors who haven't used ventilator in his lifetime but sitting next to it on VIP a duty . This will also ease the burden and better service can be provided to the poor patient who comes to government hospital with a hope of been attended by a specialist otherwise who have been posted in VIP fleet or safe house for the VIP which will never come to use

Doctors in government jobs

As we all know that these days government is facing crunch in doctors availability in uttar Pradesh District Hospitals
The crisis is not because salary issues or difficult selection process but because government job has lost it shine
There are numerous reasons to it
1--Security -Security implies in varied sense like financial security it's lacking due to policy of no pension availability in the job
Physical security is also lacking due to growing incidence of violence with doctors
Since last decades maximum violence is being noticed with government doctors out of which maximum goes unreported
2--Burden of services in TOR
The line in TOR which states as whatever services required time to time is like putting a fish in a pond
Doctors are burdened with so many routine services which are really not their part like being into VIP duties ; post mortem duty ,board duty, camp duties, call duties
3 -- Wow effect in private jobs
The wow effect plays an important part in not joining a government job
AC chamber beautiful building fixed hour work workers who listens and the feel
These are few of the reasons why government jobs are in low priority now a days
These views are totally personal
